Native speakers treat these nouns poker night, fashion week, happy hour, Christmas Day, Christmastime, etc. At the time of speaking, native speakers subconsciously focus on a specific time frame within which "poker night", "fashion week", or "happy hour" happens and happens only once.

Outside this time frame, you can add an article. For example, when trying to define what a poker night is, you would say: Wow, I think you've got it! I found nothing wrong in what you wrote.
